Good Day everyone

iam currently working on an investigatory project that uses barcodes on our id's to supposedly check attendance...

Is there a way when the scanner reads the barcode, it will also activate the yes/no field? specifically the yes field.

I plan to let my classmates scan their id on the barcode scanner and it will automatically check the present(yes) field while also inputting the barcode scanned to be able to relate each barcode to a specific name.

You could try configuring the barcode to add the Tab character to the scan output. Then, in the AfterUpdate event of the ID field, you could set the Checkbox using code.
