I am looking for a SharePoint book that explains SharePoint capabilities with some in action samples/projects. in the books i have seen it explains SharePoint capabilities with small samples so i can not have a good perspective what SharePoint can do.

I am not sure in what area are you looking? Development? Administration?  Customization? The book I am currently reading is SharePoint 2016 Step by Step with free samples of core developments and it is free.
