Sorry: This is definitely not a C# programming, development or architecture question.

Some of your terms seem vendor and model specific. Some are technology specific. So "mode" seems inappropriate.

But they have all in common: basic terms describing basic technology (didn't you do your homework?).

HID = Human Interface Device

POS = Point Of Sale

IBM = International Business Machines Corporation

USB.. hmm

OPOS = OLE for Retail POS (UnifiedPOS)
