我必须杀掉DEVENV.EXE，才能再次运行VS2015 !!!

Hi,

I have this issue with VS2015 Pro. The application (WIN32, MFC) is compiled in DEBUG mode. If I run the application by itself [double clicking it] works fine. I can use VS2012 and attach to the running app. process and I can see all my TRACEx statements. Life is good ;)

If I open the solution in the VS2015 and run it [DEBUG mode], it runs but intermittently freezes !! The VS2015 stop working, the cursor turns & turns like it is waiting on something ! The VS2015 windows [source] and other windows [OUTPUT, STACK,....] has a black out line as well !! I have checked the TASK manager, DEVENV.EXE is waiting on my app.  and today i noticed my APP is waiting on splwow64.exe which does not make sense ! I have to kill the DEVENV.EXE, to be able to run VS2015 again !!! 

Some observation, seems like if I start a DIALOG box few times, it dies quicker.

05192017-01, Seems like it has to do with "devenv.exe ". I tested more, the debug version of program works, if I run it in VS2015 it dies on some control dialog.

Anyway, need help. PS. I have uses VS6 to VS2015. This is a first time that APP dies and I have no idea why or how to go about it !

Have you updated your project to vs2015 or just use vs2015 to open it?

Here is a document about how to upgrade vs project to vs2015, you could refer to.

For this case, you could try /SafeMode (devenv.exe) to start Visual Studio in safe mode, loading only the default environment and services.

Or use /ResetSkipPkgs (devenv.exe) to clear all options to skip loading added to VSPackages by users wishing to avoid loading problem VSPackages, then starts Visual Studio.
