My current setup is 2003 enterprise server running Windows media Server. I'm using a bank of servers running WME9 for encoding 72 streams. I needed enterprise version of server to do multicast.  Our web interface is silverlight and it works so well. The other day I learned for the first time about expressions encoder and how it interfaced with silverlight a lot easier than my current setup.
Why move to silverlight if there is no capabilities to integrate multicast into the picture.

I thought technology was to move us forward and not hold us back or move in reverse.

Why move to silverlight if there is no capabilities to integrate multicast into the picture.

I am confused by this statement, since earlier you mentioned you already have a silverlight web interface.

Is your question why doesn't Expression Encoder support multicast publishing points like WME9?
