Hello,

I recently installed Visual Studio 2017 Community to use along with Unity but it is not opening.

The error I get reads:

It was not possible to start Visual Studio due to an error.

StreamJsonRpc.RemoteInvocationException:

Request locate failed with message: Hub host

'desktopClr.x86', PID:2608 exited. code:'3221225701'.

I am using Windows 10 by the way.

Any ideas on what could it be?

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Did you meet any error or warning message during the installation? After the initial installation, have you tried to open it and it works or not?

Refer to the error message, I found some other community members meet the similar issue and reported to the VS Product Team, please check this: Visual Studio 2017 cannot start due to ServiceHub locationServicePipeName error

Please have a try with the following to troubleshoot this issue, if it not works, you can add a comment on the above similar issue:

1. Run the VS as administrator to start
2. Re-run the VS installer as administrator and click More-Repair or Repair to repair the VS 2017
