Ihave historically used the "create access view" to be able to query spreadsheets full of metadata generated from other sources. it works flawless. until I stumbled across the Managed metadata topic. after alot of small testing, and research, decided to go head and define a number of global terms for a new system that i am building.

what happened first was that once I added a managed metadata field to a list or library, the Access view became read only. i presume that was once I actually added one managed metadata field value and the hidden list began to populate.

after days of research I decided to update the hidden list permisions to the sites permissions and the read only error went away but then all of the list and library views created for access views, have a micorsoft sharepoint program compatibility problem.

I have done a test in my SharePoint with access 2016 and i cannot reproduce your issue. 

Do you mean that you update Taxonomy hidden list permission?
