I have a long history of using Visual Studio (since 2005) to build C#.NET WinForms and Web Apps.  Now, for various reasons, I'm going to build a new web app using the open source technologies I've listed in the title.

If you were in my shoes and developing on a Windows 10 computer, would you use Visual Studio 2017 or VS Code?  If the former, are there any "tricks" to working with React code?
