Okay, so this will likely be a question that might receive a range of answers, but I'm just trying to get on the right track.

I mostly develop WPF desktop applications that write data to local storage (be it a local folder or database). I basically want to use the same desktop applications, however instead of writing the data locally, I'd like to write it to "the cloud."

Does anyone have any recommended resources for someone like me trying to make such a transition? Thanks, Matt

For the cloud storage issue, did you want to storage data on Azure. I am not sure that the cloud is Microsoft Azure. Could you help me to confirm the point?

I guess that the cloud is Azure. you could use the Azure mobile service to storage and provide data for your WPF application.

Before using the Azure mobile service, you need the prerequisite below.

• Visual Studio 2015 – any version that supports WPF development.

• An active Microsoft Azure account.
