Hi, we have MS Access connected as a frontend to SQL Server.   One of my users is experiencing Access hanging and needing to be restarted when he picks a value in a Combox box on a form.  This seems to be happening for him a far bit but it is quite intermittent. I also experienced the same fault when I tested it on my own machine but again it is intermittent.   My dilemma is that logically if the Combox box and the ability to select a value works most of the time then the actual combo box and form configuration is ok.  If it doesn't work intermittently then is this simply a case of a momentary loss of connection to SQL Server? OR do I need to check anything else??

Perhaps it's a problem connecting to your network, maybe caused by a hardware issue or bad network cable. Do you have any other apps that experience connection problems?

Also, how are you populating the CombBox from the database? It could be that it's just slow because you're attempting to load too much data.
