I know I must be crazy, blind; perhaps even on hard drugs. But there is no way to save all the things that are configured in the 'New Session' dialog?

I'd really rather not have to redo session filters every time I do a trace.

If you are talking about a Live Trace, you are able to Save Trace Scenario, and then it appears in the list of Trace Scenarios.  By selecting the star next to the scenario, you expose the scenario to the Quick Trace menu as your favorites show up there.

If you are talking about a File session, you can save from the File-Save or Save As, you can save all or selected/filtered messages.  This also saves all the comments and bookmarks you might have created.
