I am getting error TF400324: TFS services are not available from server when trying selected changesets during merge UI.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to VS (Any version) and select a folder in Source control explorer.

2. Right click and go to Merge Wizard. Select "Selected Changesets" and click next.

3. It takes 4-6 minutes to retrieve the results and finally gives the error in stead of changesets result.

Note:

I have TFS 2014 update 4 in production.

. It works fine for "All Changesets" option.

Thank you for posting here.

There's no TFS 2014, I guess that you are using TFS 2013.

About the TF400324 error, try to clean the TFS cache first to see if it works. Clean TFS caches(delete the content of the folder only, not the cache folder itself):
1. Clean the Cache folder on client computer. The folder path is: C:\Users\username(Team Explorer user name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Team Foundation\5.0\Cache.
2. Clean the Cache folder on Server machine. The folder path is: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Team Foundation\Web Access\Cache_v12.0.
3. After cleaned, on Server machine, click Start and select Run… to open the dialog box, then input iisreset.exe and click OK, wait it run completely.
