We recently had the need to do a file search to see if a specific file existed in a directory. If it did Exist we need to restore it from the shadow copies.

Would be much easier if we could initiate the restore from the powershell file search.  Are there commands to trigger a restore in powershell at the directory level?

The major issue of concern is known which shadow copy to restore from. Since this will be different with each restore request and required user input, it makes more sense to me to not completely automate this task.
