I am from Infrastructure side and have very less understanding on development.  I am working on SSO Solution.  We have On-Premises applications (web & Desktop) but i am unable to determine whether applications are "Claims Aware". Is there any tool / mechanism to find whether the application is Claims aware or not. We checked with application owners but unfortunately they are not aware of whether applications are Claims aware or not.

To achieve SSO, my understanding is that application also has to be Claims Aware application. Is my understanding correct ?
