I can not find the report viewer option in Visual studio 2017

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Do you mean the ReportViewer control not display under Toolbox of the C#/VB --Windows Form or Web Form project in VS 2017? If so, I found we need to manually add this ReportViewer to Toolbox. Please follow the steps as below to have a test:

1. Right click in the Toolbox and select ‘Choose Items…’
2. In Choose Toolbox Items windows, under .NET Framework Components there should have the ReportViewer options for web forms and win forms, select those checkboxs and click ‘OK’ button, it will add the ReportViewer to Toolbox.
3. Under Toolbox, you will find the ReportViewer
4. You can also right click the Toolbox and select ‘Add Tab’, name it ‘Reporting’, then right click the Tab name and select ‘Choose Items…’, reproduce the above steps to add the ReportViewer to this specific tab like the following screenshot:
