And there any number of ways, but I''d start off by making a simple copy of the .mdf that got created on "system A" when you backed it up and address it on "system B" in ssmse by doing what''s called an "attach" operation.

If you can do this successfully your next question is probably "how can I do this using a connection string, having enabled permissions, in some sort of "remote" access mode within Windows by granting user rights, etc.
