I'd administering a SharePoint 2013 instance that seems to have suddenly taken a performance hit.

The amount of data/usage hasn't changed.

There seems to be a bit of a pattern.. it will be slow for 5 minutes (~6 seconds to load a page), then for a couple of mutes its back to normal ( 0,7 second page load).

Nothing I do seems to affect the page load time. And this isn't after an IIS reset but throughout the day.

I've just patched it with the March CU, and patched the AppFabric up to CU7. - app fabric is working and stable.

I've tried disabling services in case something is causing it to slow. nothing makes a difference.

nothing in the event logs on either server.
