您不需要重新启动EW但是您需要刷新图像文件夹（或完整站点）您可以通过选择文件夹列表中的文件夹并按F5来执行此操作，但请参阅此页面，了解如何将"刷新"按钮添加到主工具栏以使其更容易。

Relatively new to forum(s). I enjoy EW and have come to love just about everything it offers over FP. However, I fear that either I am missing something so simple regarding saving a .jpg image in my web folder or nobody else has a problem with closing the program entirely and opening it again to have their saved jpgs finally appear when they go to place them on their web page.
Simply put:
1) Using Adobe Photoshop, I save an image via "Save as web" jpg format, to my web > "images" folder.
2) In EW, I use the insert picture icon to fetch my saved image and place it, just to see that it's not visible in the folder (note, I am positive I am in the correct folder, as I see all the other images I have saved before).
3) I have to close and restart EW, then go to fetch my jpg image, and it's finally visible. FYI... gif images appear normally... no need to restart EW............. what the h___?
Am I completely nuts or is this happening to anyone else? I figured it was a bug in EW. I just purchased EW2 and the "bug" is still there.
This is truly my only deeply irritating issue with this great program!

You don't need to restart EW but you do need to refresh the image folder (or complete site).
You can do this by selecting the folder in the folders list and pressing F5, but see this page about adding a Refresh button to your main toolbar to make it easier.
