I would like to write a very simple endpoint enumerator to pick up input from a microphone attached to a machine (in the long term a device connected to via remote desktop)

I would assume that the DLL is in C++ and I need to have the Windows SDK installed, but does anyone have a link to an example application that I can use as a guideline.   For example, can I use a Universal Windows DLL or does it need to be a custom one?
