We have followed the below path to connect a document library to office(office 2010)

Document Library -> Library Tab -> Connect to Office -> Add to SharePoint Sites

Link got added to "My Links" in My Site. But the link is not added in the SharePoint Sites folder which was created automatically in my local machine at the following path "C://Users/myaccount"

Per my test, the library link is not added in SharePoint sites folder when I use Office 2010, however it is added to the folder when I use Office 2013.
