Hi,

I would like to remove fields marked as SEALED but i cannot do it. I did the following steps without success:

1. via PowerShell by setting $field.sealed to $true

2. modification field's $schemaXML

3. via Server-side code with elevated privileges.

4. I also disabled & enabled Content Type where site column is used and a Content Type is not marked as Sealed.

What I also have observed when a new list is created I cannot modify Title field even if it is not set as sealed. The error message is: this field cannot be modified. This error is the same while removing field marked as sealed.

Do you know what can be the problem here and how to solve?

Why do you want to remove sealed field?

You can try to create your own content type if necessary.
