In Excel and Word there are builtin functionality to freeze the application window whilst doing updating of data and text.

For some strange reason this functionality is still missing in Powerpoint.

After looking around some I found a solution on MVPs.org which looked good. (http://skp.mvps.org/ppt00033.htm)
I had to make some changes in the code since the Property Let functionality wasn't supported.

However, I can't get this to work with my Visual Studio 2015 project running in Windows 10 with Office 2015.
