last year i wrote about buying expression 2 studio, and the idea that it was not a finished product, you can only imagine how annoyed i was to find expression3 beta launched around the same week i purchased it.

I think the upgrade price is too great considering 2 was never finished

besides all the examples of basic games is anyone building complete sites in expression? or should my money go to upgrading my adobe cs3 to cs4

Best go with CS4.
Tho DW still has some bugs in it.
Will still be there.
Wont be holding my breath as the move from E2 to E3 was not an electric move.
If you have seen the movie Ironman 2, then product launch is a bit like that of Hammer Industries.
There are a few bits in E3 that are better than using FrontPage (leaner/faster. Expression is frontpage with a lick of paint).
The Super Preview is good , but not great. The world does not spim around  MSIE6 or Firefox 3. There is Safari(Mac OS), Chrome and Opera(mobile devices).

 

What Microsoft has not done is to sit down with real web developers and say what do you really need, how can I wean you off CS?

Expression(etc) is really only there if you plan to use Silverlight as there is no choice.
As soon as adobe does silver light (tho it would prefer Air) then we are back where we started.
I am not a megga fan of CS4 and find it hard to justify the expense until you look at what all the Creatives use in agencies and its not MS.
