x64 leptonica C++ library (github) optimized using /Ox in Visual Studio 2017 is measurably slower than the default.  Likewise, the same library optimized for a specific use-case is slower for that use-case when Profile Guided Optimization is applied.  Are these options not advised for x64?

Like the following official document:

Profile-guided optimizations are only available for x86 or x64 native targets, so it would have several limitations for the X64 more or less.
