Hello,

We have synced AD Groups and users to SharePoint Online. We are using people search to get user details. We want to filter users based on AD Group (Security Group), but we are not able to find any solution.

Can anyone please help how can we filter users based on AD groups in SharePoint Online  people search?

Hi,

Based on my research, there is a workaround for this requirement.

Create custom user profile property in SharePoint online, then use bulk user profile update api to update the value which identify these users’ AD group.

Then, search based on custom user profile property.
