I am seeing problems with EM2 (latest version on OSX 10.5.8) with Nikon NEF files. If I set Preferred Rendering Engine to Manufacturer then EM will spin while importing a folder of NEF's i.e. uses 5 CPU cores of a 8-core MacPro at 100% CPU for over 20 minutes trying to build thumbnails for 4 images! The import will not complete and I have to force quit. If I set the Engine to Apple then the import works fine - except the colours of the thumbnails do not match the image files. There is s a noticeable difference in the colour of the thumbnails compared to the ones created when Engine is Manufacturer.
