Hi Team

          This is Aravindan ,working as Windows phone app developer.I have one issue regarding loopback proxy server.According to my requirement I created one TCP Socket server on Windows phone 8 using StreamSocketListener Class with LoopBack Hostname(127.0.0.1) and Port is 8016.I requested to Tcp server on Same Hostname and Port ,server is listeneing and it is working good.If I tried by editing Proxy setting in Lumia 520 device as Proxy server is 127.0.0.01 and Port is 8016 with Wifi connection.so I tried to browse in IE on device ,it is not browsing as well as if i check on TCP Server Request is not landing on server.Please help me do this.

Hi Aravindan,

Still not quite understand your scenario, is that means you developed an app act as a TCP Socket server on Windows Phone 8 and when the app is active, but then browse in IE with request to localhost, the setting does not work?

Here are some potential risks you may need pay attention:

#1, Have you ever consider about the app life cycle? If the app is Deactivated and goes into a dormant state, will it still listen to the TCP port? See this for more information: App activation and deactivation for Windows Phone 8
