Hi--

I'm trying to print out contact sheets with ca. 20 pictures per page, where the file name appears below each photograph and the file path information appears as a header or footer, so the location of the photos can be retraced if need be.

I know how to make metadata appear below the photo (including the file path). I also know it is possible to enter a header or footer in the print window, and that there is a drop down menu (on my German language version, the menu is called "Spezial") to insert the date or time or page number, etc., as the header. But is there any way to make the file path appear in this drop down menu as well, so I don't have to type or copy/paste the path into the header field every time?

I have tried to do this printing directly from Windows Explorer, as well as a bunch of shareware photo printing programs, and Expression Media, and none of them seem to be able to do this. Any options for "printing metadata" are limited to date, time, and so on---and never include the file path.

I would really appreciate any suggestions for saving myself  A LOT of time and effort.

I am using Windows XP and Expression Media version 2.2096.

Hi FLM,

If you are using the Make Contact Sheet option, whatever you have in the view options will show up in the contact sheet. However, the path is likely to be truncated in the middle to fit under the thumbs.
