I am using the authoring url to crawl the site.

My AAM is like this

Internal url                             Zone                            Public Url

http://<authoring url>            default                          http://<authoring url>

https://<public url>                Internet                        https://<public url>

I created a server name mapping 

<http://authoring url> to <https://public url> but it is showing the search result of the authoring site with public url.

Any suggestion ?

By default, if we configure the AAM for a web application, to crawl the web application, we need to crawl the default zone rather than a non-default zone.

As you have configured AAM for your web application, please set the HTTPS URL to the default zone of your web application, then crawl the HTTPS web address again, compare the result.
