Are the two libraries in a same site? If yes, there is a easier way to achieve your purpose.

You can use Content and Structure function to copy the whole document set into another library. Go to site settings > click "Content and structure" under "Site Administration". Then select your document set and copy it to a new library. You can go to the new library and rename the document set.

By default, the metadata will not display in the new library view(when you view properties of files, you can see the metadata), you need to modify the view in the new library to make them display.
