Is there a way to trigger a task when a memory card is inserted; this task would ask where to import to, and maybe into which catalog ?
I vaguely remember there were talks about this subject with Iview.

Hi Bernard,

It depends on the operating system. On Windows, the autorun will come up asking if you want to open in Explorer to view files, etc. One of the choices is import to Expression Media Catalog. That will import either to the active open catalog, or if Expression Media isn't open it'll start media and they will go into a new catalog. At that point the operative import is from disc or camera, so you also can rename, copy the files, etc.

The closest I've come on a Mac is inserting a thumb drive, and that just sets up the drive icon. I don't know if a card reader would start Import from camera or not. Can test that for you tomorrow.
