In Access 2010 I have a simple sub-report I use to count a field. Works perfect by itself. However, when I place it in the main report the results change. And it doesn't matter where I place it in the Main report, it still returns a low count. Is there some filter I am missing?

When you place it as a subreport, I wouldn't be surprised if Access automatically sets the Link Master Fields and Link Child Fields properties of the subreport control to filter it by a field in the main report.  When you display the subreport on its own, not as a subreport on another report, no such filtering would take place.  Have you checked the properties of the subreport control on the main form to see if the Link Master/Child Fields have been set?  Maybe you don't want this subreport to be linked to a record on the main report.  If so, clear the Link Master Fields and Link Child Fields properties.
