I am using Expressions Media 1.0.8, on a Mac G5 running OS 10.4.11. I have used Expressions Media/iView for about 6 years.

My workflow is to create a separate catalog for each job I photograph. I am presently trying to consolidate selected files from each catalog created during 2008 into a newly created catalog. I have done this annually, and this process has always been easy and error free.

Not the case this time, From some catalogs, this works fine, but with about half the catalogs, the new listing in the newly created catalog cannot find the original files. Resetting paths does not work. The original files in question reside in multiple folders, on two different hard drives.

Is the media by any chance offline when you drag the files into the new catalog? There is a bug in Expression Media 1 where we do lose the path when you drag images to a new catalog, and we can't reestablish that even by resetting the paths.

There is no fix in V1 for that, but it's fixed in Expression Media 2.
