I'm working on a project connected to TFS. I was experimenting with prompting when checking out a file. I had my settings configured as follows:
But then I wanted to undo those settings. So I went back in and set them to "Check out automatically".
But at some point, Visual Studios undoes that change. I got back into Options and I see they are set back to "Prompt for check out". Why is it reverting back to a setting which wasn't even the default?
God, I hate Microsoft.

Have you make any changes to visual studio after you set them to "Check out automatically"?

You can set "Source Control Environment Settings" to Team Foundation, which will set checked-in items to "Check out automatically" and then click "OK".
