Hello,

I am using Postman to try and get the FormDigestValue in order to authenticate other requests to the Sharepoint API. 

I found this technet forum that never found a solution to the problem.

I followed this tutorial exactly to get the authentication, but it returns a 403 Forbidden error.



The end goal for me is to upload a .json document to my Sharepoint Site's document library using Python 2.7. But I need to get the FormDigestValue to authenticate other requests. 

Any ideas on this?

Is there a setting I need to allow in the Site Collection settings or something? Thanks in advance.

Tested the /_api/contextinfo in SharePoint On-Premise Environment and it can return form digest value like capture shown:

If you are using SharePoint Online, you will need to follow this example:
