What is the best way to do the following:

I want to have an in app purchase product that is free while in a "beta" period. But once the beta is over I will update the app and want to charge for this in app purchase?

Can I use the same product code? If I do will all the people who used the beta version continue to get it for free once I update the product with a price? Or should I assign a new product code and remove the beta version? If I do this people who re-install their app will lose the beta version right?
