I got the message "setup completed with warnings" after completing an update of VS 2017. Also, on the same page, a dialog box appeared stating that setup had failed.

According to this error message, I suspect some install packages are missing and failed to install.

Please make sure windows update is up-to-date, clean up the %temp% folder and temporarily disable any antivirus software, reboot the computer. Then refer to Create an offline installer for Visual Studio 2017 to make an offline installer with full resource and perform a VS 2017 installation then.
