There are two approaches to achieve that functionality:
1) Use iframes for the said "certain parts" of your page and in every iframe add meta tag for page refresh after certain time period.
2) Wrap parts of page to be refreshed inside update panel and add a timer control with ticker time in each update panel. In your timer''s tick event write the functionality to reload data.
