The custom function is called when user uses the Function Wizard, edits the function in the Formula Bar, the data that the function referenced is being modified, the results of re-calculation (F9?), etc. 

Detecting Function Wizard call is documented in MSDN and elsewhere.  How to detect, from within the custom function, if the function call is initiated from (1) Editing the Formula Bar, (2) Change in data to the function argument, and (3) User press F9 or automatic re-calculation?
