The application runs without error as a native Access application. Then I move the tables to Sharepoint lists with no issues in moving to linked lists. I also "publish" the application to the Sharepoint server. No issues with this process. Now, I can open the application by clicking on the application in the "Shared Documents" folder on our SP site.

If I choose the "Edit" option, the application works fine. If I choose the "Read Only" option, the application throws errors and with a number of subforms on the navigation form, textboxes are populated with "#Name?". I check the tables, and they are full of correct data.

This suggests something odd is going on, 'cause if there were fundamental errors of design, then wouldn't it affect the application regardless of how it is started? Maybe the code bugs are keeping the forms from working properly.

So, I try to find an error in code: I go into debug, to the sub that has thrown the error, and comment out that sub's code. Save, etc. Next time it runs, the error is thrown in a different sub. In all cases the "#Name?" error persists. Well, I've tried commenting out all VBA code and removing all modules. I don't get the error message, so I guess that is something. Still have "#Name?" in many fields on various forms.

I tried creating a brand new navigation form and load it with several working forms. The "#Name?" error recurs in these forms. All of the forms still work when loaded separately.

Did it means that you view the form like figure below:
If so, I can’t reproduce the issue on my test environment. I suggest you creating a new blank database and add some simple tables and forms to test whether this issue relate to the code.
