I have been having an issue with my database that I have created in Microsoft Access 2007.

I have a linked excel file for my table of data.  I have a form that has a search box with a search button that is for filtering search results.  The filtered results are displayed and everything works great.  However it stops working great when I exceed 250 rows in my linked excel table.

When the excel file has less than 250 rows the search box works wonderful.  Filters the results and displays them.

When the excel file has more than 250 rows and you run a search a dialog box pops up and says "Unknown" with a Ok button and does not filter the results.

Does access have some sort of limit? I just don't understand why it works flawlessly when there are less than 250 rows.

You're not running into a record limit problem. 250 is miniscule. It's something else. Can you provide the VBA for filtering the data that the button uses so we can review the code?
