I have both VS2010 and VS 2015 installed on my workstation. I have no problems building my solutions and project files through either version of VS. What I find annoying is that when I open VS2015, I'm always presented with a popup window that reads: Review Solution Actions: Upgrade Visual C++ Compiler and Libraries, and it will list all the VS2010 project files. I don't want to convert them for specific reasons. I just don't want to be annoyed by the popup message on the first time I start VS2015 in my "clean" build environment. What setting is there to disable this message.

Refer to your description, it looks like I got a different result as yours. I tested this scenario several times on my side and when I first open the VS 2010 solution in the VS 2015, I can see the ‘Review Solution Actions’ as below and click ‘Cancel’, then restart the VS 2015 to open the same VS 2010 solution again, there is no such popup reminder windows. If you still get the same reminder in the above condition, please have a try with another VS 2010 C++ project and if this issue persists, please have a look at the following troubleshot methods:

1. Go to Tools-Import and Export settings…-Rest all settings and back up the current setting and try to reset the settings to default
2. Run the commands like devenv /resetdatauser or /safemode to test
3. Go to Control Panel-Programs and Features, right click the VS 2015 and Change-Repair
