I use the "Visual Studio Emulator for Android" when debugging our Xamarin projects. I upgraded my dev machine to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 and now the Emulators don't work. The error message i get when starting up is:
The emulator is unable to set some properties on the virtual machine:
Couldn't change Display controller settings of the virtual machine: 'VS Emulator 5-inch Marshmallow (6.0.0) XHDPI Phone.patrick long' failed to modify device 'Synthetic Display Controller'. (Virtual machine ID 611A2B87-D36C-4453-88CB-32A4E77466BC)
The configuration version of VS Emulator 5-inch Marshmallow (6.0.0) XHDPI Phone.patrick long virtual machine does not support setting resolution type, horizontal resolution or vertical resolution. (Virtual machine ID 611A2B87-D36C-4453-88CB-32A4E77466BC)
Is there something specxfic that needs to be done to the Emulator once on Windows 10? I have tried VS 2017 Modify to reinstall it but that did not change anything

Please have a look at this: Troubleshooting the Visual Studio Emulator for Android and check the system requirements for the VS Emulator for Android, make sure Hyper-V is installed and enabled, then follow the troubleshot steps to analysis this issue.
What’s your windows 10 version? It should be 64-bit version of the Pro edition of Windows 10 or higher, Home version is not support this Hyper-V feature.
