I have a veneralble 2003 app with many crystal reports. I would like to upgrade it. I have installed 2010 professional.

I ran my project and it upgraded the project and prompted me to a SAP/CR page. I downloaded a file to allopw me to view CR in the IDE, and tried installed the runtimes for 64 and 32 bit. However I cannot run the reports as I get en error when trying to instantiate the report document.

It is not clear what I am supposed to do as the release notes for these downloads on the CR site go to a 404. It seems like a lot of people have this problem, but the answers never seem to match, particularly when mixed with all the different versions of VS and CR.

I have found product docummentation but they do not seem to match the files I downloaded and installed.
