我是管理员，下面是需要您专家意见/指导的情况。

我的工作在一家小公司，他们在物理服务器上安装了10个用户许可证（当前5个用户处于活动状态）的终端服务器角色，同样的终端服务器也安装了Visual Studio 2017专业版。

Hello Experts,

I am an administrator and in below is the situation need your expert advice/ guidance.

I work in a small company, they have a terminal server role installed for 10 user license (Currently 5 Users are active) on a physical server, the same terminal server also Installed with Visual studio 2017 professional.

Now, these 10 (Currently 5 Users are active) users wanted to start and work on Visual studio during office hours all at once.

When they selected the same project, and start build and test they are getting an error as the "port is in use".

 I have few questions, Kindly help me with the answers, this helps me better understand the design...

1.       Is this supported to Host Visual Studio Professional 2017 on a Terminal server
2.       Do we also get any other errors in near future with this design Visual studio? 
3.       Do we have any separate license available for Terminal server mode? along with Software binaries different?
4.       Finally, do we have any solution in Visual Studio 2017 for above-shown error " port in use"?

Do you mean that you want install or launch on the terminal server? Once your server meets the system requirements, you could run it definitely.

Or if you try to edit the same project by different users, how about considering use the version control tools, such as TFS or VSTS? it allows you  source code management, reporting, requirements management, project management.

As far as we know, if several users try to open and edit the same project, it will show error about the conflict process. To test the root cause is about the server port conflict or the VS project itself, you could let the users to launch VS,

If there is not any port error, it is related to the VS project, it doesn't support several users to edit the same project.

If the error persists, the cause is pending on the terminal server port, but from my point of view, it's not about the connect terminal server license, but the VS itself by default designed.
