I am having a problem with the TCP Connection ....

i am  doing a chat application (with images) ...Text chatting is working perfectly..

But whenever i am choosing a photo the TCP connection gets lost and it is going to "Application_Deactivated" event...

Is there any solution to maintain a TCP connection throughout the application background without loosing the Connection

In general it is not possible for an application to keep a socket open when the application transitions to the Deactivated or Closed state.

A background agent can open a socket but the scheduling and runtime duration for most background agents is too limited... although there are special exceptions for background agents related to Audio Streaming and VoIP calls.
