Fully updated VS2015 Enterprise in question.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create new Activity Library project (Templates/Visual C#/Workflow/Activity Libray)
2. Add single writeline control
3. Input "any text" (quotation marks included), press . (dot)
4. When intellisense appears select anything with a double mouse click
5. VS crashes

Any ideas how to bypass the problem or at least has anyone had the same problem? Or if you're willing to test it on other versions of VS it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Followed your steps and I can have reproduced your issue on my side, when we double click to select any option from the List Members and the VS crashed like the following screenshot:

I have reported this issue to the VS Product Team, please have a look at this: https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/Feedback/Details/3131842 and you can vote it, then we need to wait for the response from VS Product Team engineer.

Meanwhile, I tested the above behavior in my VS community/enterprise 2017 and it works fine, double click in the List Members dropdown list to successfully add this member. You can try to download the VS 2017 from https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/ and select the necessary workloads and individual components like ‘Windows Workflow Foundation’ to install, check this issue again. It looks like the VS 2017 is solved this issue and since the VS 2017 RTM is released, it is a good choice to develop with the VS 2017 :)
