Howdy, y'all; I'd like to create a simple database to keep track of car and motorcycle maintenance. I found this and downloaded the template:

However, when I open the template, Access crashes during the "Preparing template...." phase. And Win 7 Pro x64 on my laptop reports that "Microsoft Access has stopped working."

This forum IS the way of getting free support from Microsoft (unless you paid full price for an off-the-shelf retail boxed version of Office). MS employees frequent this forum and often help out with things the broader community can't handle.

As for the crashing behaviour... @Microsoft?
