Is there a way to change the highlight color when doing a search for 'Select all occurrences' ? I am using a theme but the current selection color is dark (dark theme) and difficult to see, making it less than useful. This is installed on a Mac.

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

As far as I know, the color is not support customizable currently, but you can modify the default theme to other themes that has a hardcoded color of the highlight which is easy to see and note. Go to File-Preferences-Color Theme (Ctrl+K Ctrl+T) and choose one theme like High Contrast, Light (Visual Studio), it will clear to know the highlight part like the following screenshot:
