Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I am having running some codedUI tests. I am trying to test in a chrome browser, and have downloaded the 'Selenium components for Coded UI Cross Browser' package and ensured I am running V53 of Google Chrome.

However, when I now run the test in visual studio I get the below error:

Result Message:
Test method FirstDemo.CodedUITest1.TestIfWeCanFindMyCourseUsingGoogle threw exception: 
Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITest.Extension.UITestException: unknown error: cannot find Chrome binary
  (Driver info: chromedriver=2.25.426923 (0390b88869384d6eb0d5d09729679f934aab9eed),platform=Windows NT 6.3.9600 x86_64)

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andy,

Before it was really an issue, but I seems to be fixed now. Please install this hotfix package:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3211422/fix-issues-with-action-recording-using-microsoft-test-manager-and-coded-ui-tests-using-visual-studio

I just tested it with the chrome version 56, Chrome driver version is same as yours 2.25, and it works fine now.

Please give it a try and feel free to let me know the result.
